Betsy litigates a wide variety of civil disputes, particularly in the areas of commercial litigation, including creditors’ rights, collections, bankruptcy, and contract disputes, and family law. In her commercial law practice, Betsy has experience guiding clients through every aspect of litigation to a successful resolution, whether that may be in the form of a settlement, trial, or enforcing creditors’ rights through bankruptcy proceedings or various collection methods.  In the area of family law, Betsy has handled cases involving grandparent visitation, custody disputes, contested and uncontested divorces, and post-divorce disputes, including contempt proceedings.

  • Defense verdict for a regional bank accused of violating the federal Fair Credit Reporting Act
  • Jury trial verdict in favor of local construction company in a breach of warranty claim
  • Verdict for a real estate management entity in a breach of lease against a former tenant
  • Jury trial verdict for Plaintiff against hospital for breach of employment contract
  • Jury trial verdict for large medical implant supplier against local hospital
  • Summary judgment for gas and welding supply company on claims to enforce non-compete agreement against former employee
  • Representation of national agricultural retail supplier in collection and bankruptcy matters
  • Representation of local physicians in contract disputes related to employment and other professional services
  • Representation of clients in divorce, custody disputes and grandparent visitation matters
  • Defense of Nursing Home Operators in a U.S. Tax Court action
  • Successfully argued appeal at the Arkansas Supreme Court on behalf of a regional bank
