Craig Lair is a tax and transactional attorney. Additionally, Craig handles state and federal tax controversy matters and trusts and estate litigation. Among his recent controversy experiences are the following:
- Represented a company in a 2009-2011 tax court case involving inventory methods.
- Represented an estate in tax court litigation related to substantiating non-active participation of a decedent in a business. The matter was satisfactorily resolved.
- Expert witness in a breach of fiduciary duty claim.
- Multi-state litigation involving an estate related to breach of fiduciary duty and undue influence.
- Represented an executive in tax court litigation related to passive/active participation in various investments. Immediately prior to trial, the case was substantially conceded by the IRS.
- Multi-jurisdictional case involving trust interpretation and trustee duty issues.
