Tori Gordon Jones focuses her practice on advising clients in the areas of economic development and regulatory issues, with an emphasis on environmental, land use, and real estate law.  She has a wide range of experience advising clients on federal, state, and local statutes and regulations in these areas, including the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act, Hazardous Waste Management Act, Comprehensive Environmental Response, compensation and Liability Act, Energy Policy Act, National Environmental Policy Act, the Clean Water Act, and the Fair Housing Act.  Prior to joining Rose Law Firm, Tori served as the Associate Director for the Office of Land Resources at the Arkansas Department of Environmental Quality, worked as a regulatory policy advisor for Governor Asa Hutchinson and worked for a multinational Washington, D.C. law firm advising real estate developers and other Fortune 500 companies on a range of transaction involving complex land use, real estate and environmental issues.

Experience

Tori has a wide range of experience involving real estate, land use and environmental law including:

  • Overseeing a team of 100 staff members at the Arkansas Dept. of Environmental Quality on issues such as hazardous waste, solid waste, regulated storage tank and mining programs;
  • Analyzing and advising clients regarding state and federal statutes and regulations including Resource Conservation and Recovery Act, Hazardous Waste Management Act, Comprehensive Environmental Response, compensation and Liability Act, Energy Policy Act, National Environmental Policy Act, and the Clean Water Act, and the Fair Housing Act;
  • Advising clients on remediation activities at state and federal Superfund sites, mined properties and landfills;
  • Advising government officials on environmental, energy and transportation policies; and
  • Counseling clients by providing site assessments, environmental reviews and clean up requirements.
