JOINER APPOINTED TO BANKRUPTCY BAR COMMITTEE

Steve Joiner has been appointed to the Bankruptcy Bar Advisory Committee for the Eastern District of Arkansas. The Committee focuses on areas of common concern for bankruptcy practitioners, ways for the Bankruptcy Clerk's office to improve operations and implementing changes in the Bankruptcy Court's and Clerk's office procedures. The Committee is comprised of practicing debtor and creditor bankruptcy attorneys as well as the Assistant United States Trustee, a Standing Chapter 13 Trustee, a Standing Chapter 7 Trustee and the Clerk of Court. Committee membership is organized by the Bankruptcy Clerk, based on a selection process with the Bankruptcy Judges. SUPER LAWYERS - 2008

Kathryn B. Perkins was co-Chairman of the 2008 Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation International Gala held on April 12, 2008, at the Statehouse Convention Center in Little Rock. M. Jane Dickey, a senior member of Rose Law Firm, has been appointed by UALR Chancellor Joel E. Anderson to chair the Chancellor's Special Committee on Campus Safety. The six-member task force will bring fresh eyes to campus safety issues.
Other committee members, chosen for their expertise in safety, law enforcement and crisis communication, will include Little Rock Police Chief Stuart Thomas; William C. Temple, FBI Special Agent in Charge for the State of Arkansas; Baptist Health Community Health Director Sandra J. Brown; Rob Ulmer, UALR associate professor of speech communications; and Jeff Walker, UALR professor of criminal justice.
