Dan Young and Bryant Cranford Present at Arkansas Bankers Association Mega Conference

Dan Young and Bryant Cranford presented at the Arkansas Bankers Association Mega Conference in Little Rock today to discuss recent cases relating to IRAs and legal developments of interest to trustees.

Bryant provided an update on IRAs, while Dan highlighted recent appellate decisions and state income tax developments of interest to fiduciaries.

Bryant heads the firm’s business section and practices in the areas of employee benefits and executive compensation, tax, estate planning, and probate. His practice focuses on advising employers and plans on maintaining tax-qualified status of retirement plans; advising buyers and sellers on options and risks associated with employee benefit plans in merger and acquisitions; advising employers on options and requirements for their employee benefit plans associated with ACA, COBRA, HIPAA, ERISA, USERRA, and the Internal Revenue Code.  Additionally, Bryant assists clients with their estate planning, probate and general tax matters.

Dan focuses his practice on estate planning, trust and estate administration, business succession planning, and general and complex corporate and other entity matters. He has a broad range of experience in helping clients develop and implement both simple and complex estate planning techniques. Dan has advised business owners on the transfer ownership to family members, co-owners, employees, and third parties. Having a farming background enables Dan to have an acute understanding of issues involving farm succession planning.
