Amanda practices in the areas of complex commercial litigation and class actions including contract, antitrust, products and deceptive trade practices actions, as well as bad faith/coverage litigation, probate and estate litigation and appellate advocacy. She also serves as the firm’s recruiting coordinator and is a member of the Diversity and Inclusion Committee.

EXPERIENCE

  • Lead counsel in defense of a national antitrust class action lawsuit alleging Sherman Act violations against a number of the nation’s leading poultry producers
  • Counsel for global pipe manufacturer against its insurer on claims of bad faith/insurance coverage in connection with business interruption losses
  • Lead counsel representing global pipe manufacturer on negligence and product claims against electrical supplier
  • Represent clients in contract, fraud, probate, real estate, financial services and deceptive trade practices cases in numerous appeals before the Arkansas Supreme Court, Arkansas Court of Appeals, and United States Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit
  • Successful reversal on appeal and reinstatement of jury verdict in favor of beverage manufacturer in distributorship dispute
  • Successful defense of a bottling company on appeal to the United States Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit of the district court’s decision on multi-million dollar attorneys’ fees petition
  • Successful defense jury verdict for residential building contractor in warranty/construction defect case
  • Successful defense award for commercial roofing contractor in defense of contract/defect arbitration case brought by national building materials manufacturer
  • Favorable settlement on behalf of a financial services company in contract termination case against national mobile technology company
  • Obtained reversal on appeal for an online legal documents provider on enforceability of arbitration clause in deceptive trade practices putative class action
  • Represented financial institutions as trustees in trust and estate disputes
  • Represented financial institution in defense of putative class action alleging deceptive trade practices
  • Represented sellers in defense of fraud and breach of contract disputes in connection with sale of real estate
  • Represented global agri-business company in confirming arbitration awards, registering and collecting judgments, pursuing claims for market difference, and defending claims regarding arbitration before the National Grain and Feed Association
  • Successfully defended a defense verdict in a quiet title action before the Arkansas Court of Appeals
  • Obtained a jury verdict and attorneys’ fee award for financial representative in contract dispute with former broker, and successfully defended that jury verdict and fee award on appeal
  • Obtained a jury verdict for medical professional on direct claim and counterclaim in contract termination suit against community hospital
