Shaneen primarily focuses her practice in the areas of estate planning, probate, estate and trust administration, tax, business and elder law. Her tax practice includes estate and gift, tax controversy, individual and business tax planning, and applying for tax exempt status for nonprofit and charitable organizations. Her elder law practice includes long term care planning, with an emphasis on Medicaid planning. She also handles succession planning, and real estate matters. Shaneen is also a Certified Public Accountant with years of experience in the public accounting and tax industry prior to practicing law.


  • Drafts wills, trusts and other wealth transfer instruments for simple and complex estates
  • Assists with probate and trust administration after the loss of a loved one
  • Advises clients with respect to strategic gifting and estate planning that may include minimizing taxes, avoiding conflict among family members and creditor protection for family members
  • Assists with the preparation of estate, gift and generation skipping tax returns
  • Assists charitable and other non-profit organizations apply for tax-exempt status with federal and state agencies and advise on governance issues
  • Assists with Elder law matters, to include applying for Medicaid for long-term care
  • Handles federal and state tax controversy in compliance, collections and audit matters for individuals and small businesses
  • Represents businesses in connection with entity formation, governance and succession planning
  • Assists with real estate matters
