Bio

B.J.’s practice focuses on complex business and regulatory litigation at the pretrial, trial and appellate levels. He regularly handles matters of complex civil litigation, class action defense, and intellectual property litigation. He also advises clients on workplace health and safety, regulatory compliance and catastrophe response.

Experience

  • Counsel to companies in numerous state and federal class action cases
  • Counsel to health care companies in class action suits claiming illegal taxation, violation of privacy and unlawful trade practices
  • Represents both corporate and individual clients in tax controversy suits involving federal and state taxation
  • Represents clients in onsite inspections and related enforcement actions by regulatory agencies following fatality and mass casualty incidents
  • Counsel to clients in defending state and federal OSHA citations, including defending willful and repeat citations in cases involving fatalities and mass casualties
  • Defense of clients in personal injury, wrongful death and related litigation following workplace incidents
