Missy McJunkins Duke

Missy McJunkins Duke regularly represents employers, both private and public, before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and the Wage & Hour Division of the Department of Labor, as well as related federal and state court litigation. She also represents school districts throughout Arkansas concerning employment matters, including discipline, discharge, and leave issues. She has extensive experience advising entities on compliance with the Arkansas Freedom of Information Act and defending such entities in FOIA litigation.

Missy is a former Chair of the Arkansas Bar Association’s Labor and Employment Section and an active member of the American Bar Association’s Labor and Employment Section and Wage and Hour Committee, the American Employment Law Council, and the Arkansas Bar Foundation’s Board of Directors. She was appointed by former Arkansas Governor Mike Beebe as Commissioner on the Arkansas Early Childhood Commission and as a member of the Arkansas Advisory Committee to the United States Commission on Civil Rights. She also served a six-year term on the Arkansas State Board of Law Examiners and two three-year terms on the Arkansas Continuing Legal Education Board, both appointed by the Arkansas Supreme Court. Missy was also appointed by Governor Mike Beebe as Special Associate Justice of the Arkansas Supreme Court for the case styled as 09-1011, Grand Valley Ridge LLC., Tom A. Terminella a/k/a Thomas A. Terminella v. Metropolitan National Bank.

Missy has been included in Best Lawyers in America since 2009, Mid-South Super Lawyers since 2008, and Chambers & Partner’s list of top attorneys since 2013. Missy is active in the community, volunteering with the UAMS Winthrop P. Rockefeller Cancer Institute, and Young Men’s Service League and having served on the Boards of Directors for Reach Out and Read Arkansas, Fulbright Elementary PTA, Junior League of Little Rock, Arkansas Advocates for Children and Families, and Central Arkansas Executives Association. In 2015, Missy received a Little Rock School District Volunteers in Public Schools Award for her school volunteer work and in 2011, Missy was named an Arkansas Business 40 Under 40.

Bryant Cranford

Bryant practices in the areas of employee benefits and executive compensation, tax, estate planning, and probate. His practice focuses on advising employers and plans on maintaining tax-qualified status of retirement plans; advising buyers and sellers on options and risks associated with employee benefit plans in merger and acquisitions; advising employers on options and requirements for their employee benefit plans associated with ACA, COBRA, HIPAA, ERISA, USERRA, and the Internal Revenue Code. Additionally, Bryant assists clients with their estate planning, probate and general tax matters.

Mary E. Buckley

Mary practices in the areas of civil litigation, employment law/management, arbitration, and insurance defense. A native of Houston, Texas, Mary received her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Houston, and her Juris Doctorate from the University of Arkansas School of Law in Fayetteville, Arkansas. Mary has been in private practice since leaving law school and is licensed in both Arkansas and Texas. She has been named to Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch in the areas of Labor and Employment Law/Management, Litigation/Labor and Employment, and Municipal Law, and included among Mid-South Super Lawyers‘ “Rising Stars.”

During law school, Mary served for two years as Student Bar Association President, received the award for most outstanding contribution to the law school community, and externed for the Honorable Joe J. Volpe of the United States Magistrate Court for the Eastern District of Arkansas. In addition to being a member of the Arkansas Bar Association, Mary also served on the Arkansas House of Delegates for Benton County. Mary is a member of the Texas and American Bar Associations.

Mitchell A. Dowden

Mitchell is an associate in the firm’s business section, where his practice focuses primarily on environmental and agricultural law matters. Prior to joining Rose Law Firm, Mitchell was an attorney at the Arkansas Department of Energy & Environment, working on a range of issues, including clean water, clean air, solid and hazardous wastes, regulated storage tank compliance and enforcement, and appeals in front of the Arkansas Pollution Control and Ecology Commission.

Mitchell earned his J.D. and LL.M. in Agricultural and Food Law from the University of Arkansas School of Law.

Alexander D. Clark

Alexander received his Juris Doctor from UALR’s Bowen School of Law in May 2017, graduating magna cum laude, and his Bachelor’s in Marketing from the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville in May 2008. While in law school, Alexander received numerous Top Paper Awards for a variety of subjects, including Decedents Estates, Federal Income Taxation, and Public International Law. His areas of practice with the Firm include civil litigation, employment/management, and wage and hour law. Alex was included in the 2022 edition of Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch in the practice area of Litigation/Labor and Employment. This designation is given to attorneys who are earlier in their careers for outstanding professional excellence in private practice in the United States. He was also named a Mid-South Super Lawyers “Rising Star,” a rating of outstanding lawyers from more than 70 practice areas who are poised to earn a high degree of peer recognition and professional achievement in their legal careers.

Brantly Buck

Brant has many years of experience advising high net-worth individuals and owners of family businesses in tax planning and estate and succession planning. Families have sought his advice for multiple generations and have seen firsthand effective estate plans implemented. His counsel and judgment are greatly valued.

Richard Donovan

Rick focuses his practice on commercial litigation and regulatory/administrative law. He has tried over 100 cases to verdict before juries and judges in both state and federal court. His appellate practice includes cases before the Arkansas Supreme Court and Court of Appeals and the U.S. Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals.

Additionally, Rick regularly practices before regulatory agencies including cases before the Arkansas Securities Commission and arbitrations and mediations before the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA).

He also served as the professional ethics counsel to the firm. In that role, he advised firm attorneys on matters of legal ethics, which is highly regarded.

Rebecca Roberts Chacko

Rebecca is an associate in the firm’s business section. She focuses her practice on individual taxation, business taxation and employee benefits. She joined the firm in 2022 immediately after graduating with her LL.M. in taxation from the Northwestern Pritzker School of Law in Chicago, Illinois.  Rebecca is licensed to practice in Illinois and Arkansas.

Brady Brown

Brady serves as an associate for the firm’s business practice group.  He focuses his practice on estate planning, federal and state taxation, non-profit formation, corporate governance, and real estate transactions.  His experience includes representing individual and corporate clients in a variety of matters including wealth and succession planning, probate and trust administration, and corporate transactions.

Brady enjoys volunteering for the United Way and the Historic Arkansas Museum. He is an avid St. Louis Cardinals and Arkansas Razorback fan.  In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family and friends at the softball field or at a Razorback game.

J. Bruce Cross

J. Bruce Cross practices labor and employment defense law.  He is a member of the American Bar Association’s Committee on the Development of the Law under the National Labor Relations Act, as well as a Fellow in the College of Labor and Employment Lawyers. Publicity and accolades include features in U.S. News and World Report, where he was named among the Best Labor and Employment Lawyers in the nation, and Mid-South Super Lawyers, making the publication’s top 50 list. He has also been honored by Chambers and Partners and Best Lawyers in America. A Life Member of the National Registry of Who’s Who, he is also listed as one of the Top 1000 Labor & Employment lawyers worldwide by Who’s Who Legal.

Bruce’s practice includes work before the National Labor Relations Board, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, and the Wage & Hour and OFCCP Divisions of the Department of Labor, as well as related Federal and State Court Litigation. His experience includes collective bargaining, arbitration, advising management regarding maintenance of a non-union and non-discriminatory workplace, supervisory training, and the development of personnel systems and the preparation of Affirmative Action Plans.  Admitted to practice before numerous federal courts throughout the country, he has argued cases before multiple Courts of Appeals and practiced before the United States Supreme Court.

Bruce has been honored with the 2017 Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award and the 2014, 2019 and 2024 Lawyer of the Year Award for Management Labor Law in Little Rock. He serves as the current President of the Notre Dame Club Arkansas Chapter. He also served on the State Board for Junior Achievement of Arkansas and also serves on the Board for the West Central Arkansas chapter of the Society of Human Resources Management. He also is on the Board for Associated Builders and Contractors of Arkansas, and serves as the Chairman of the National Legislative Committee for the Associated Builders and Contractors of America.

His past held seats include Chairman of the Statewide Board of Directors for Junior Achievement of Arkansas, Chairman of the Board of Directors for the Museum of Discovery, Chairman of the Board of Directors for the Single Parent Scholarship Fund, Chairman of the Board of Directors for the Arkansas Society to Prevent Blindness, Chairman of the Board of Directors for the Urban League of Arkansas, Chairman of the Board of Directors for the Associated Builders and Contractors of Arkansas, Member of the Board of Directors for the Downtown Partnership, and Member of the Board of Directors for the Boys Scouts of America, Quapaw Area Council.

C. Chad Causey

Chad Causey is the Principal of Rose Group Advisors and a Member of Rose Law Firm. Before joining Rose Law Firm, he was the President of Causey Law Firm, PA.

His expertise is in federal and state issues and their impacts on businesses. He works with Fortune 500 companies, farmers, and everyday Arkansans. Causey began his career serving in Washington as Chief of Staff to a Member of Congress and as liaison to the House Appropriations Committee. During his tenure in the House of Representatives, Causey worked on several key policy initiatives, including appropriations, agriculture, healthcare, energy, tax, and infrastructure funding.

In his current role, Causey draws from his intimate knowledge of the legislative process and his legal background. In addition to his critical role in support of multiple clients, he serves as the Executive Director of the Arkansas Aerospace and Defense Alliance, a trade association representing the interests of Arkansas’ aerospace and defense industries.

Born and raised in Jonesboro, AR, Causey serves on several boards, including the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship of Arkansas (Past Moderator), The First Tee of Central Arkansas, the Little Rock Zoo Foundation, the Arkansas Aviation Historical Society, Family Promise of Pulaski County and the Arkansas Governor’s Council on Future Mobility. He is a former participant in the Honorary Commander Program at the Little Rock Air Force Base (LRAFB). He has been previously recognized as an Arkansas Business “40 Under 40 in Arkansas”; and “250 Most Influential in Arkansas.” He is married to Meredith McNeil Causey of Newport. Meredith and Chad have three children and attend 2nd Baptist Church in Little Rock.

Causey is a member of the Arkansas Bar Association and the Pulaski County Bar Association. He is licensed to practice in Arkansas.

Ty Bordenkircher

Ty primarily works with clients in the construction and manufacturing industries, providing advice on navigating potential litigation on terms beneficial to client companies, preparing contracts for large scale construction projects, negotiating and resolving disputes on large commercial projects, and litigating complex matters on behalf of companies.  Ty works to find creative strategies and unique solutions to obtain successful outcomes for his clients.

Ty graduated from the University of Arkansas School of Law, serving as a note and comment Editor for the University of Arkansas Law Review. Prior to law school, Ty served in the United States Marine Corps Reserves where he was a certified explosive transporter for his unit. He is a native of Mobile, Alabama.
